Willie the Goldfish

these are a couple of poems i wrote that both go by the name of "Willie the Goldfish".

here's the limerick version:

There once a goldfish named Will-ie
Who was as big as he could be,
He'd go out at night
And take a bite
Out of fishers on the sea.

and here's the short song version (sung to a similar tune as the first line of "Frosty the Snowman"):

Willie the Goldfish
Was as big as he could be,
He'd go out at night and take a bite,
Out of fishers on the sea.

lol! i just messed around and made this up......

Haha, very cute! I don't think you need the - in Willie in the limerick, and I'd also suggest saying something like "And take a big bite" to make it flow a little better. Also, perhaps fishermen rather than fishers. In the second one, I think the length of the third line makes the rhythm a little off, so I prefer the limerick version. Again, very cute, Wozzinator!

haha, it wasn't really made for teens, and it was more for a little kids type theme. but i thought i'd post it anyways since it's one of the few poems i've wrote.

I kinda had fun reading it. Sounded like a classic children's ditty.

I have no fish, let alone a goldfish named Willie, it's all made up.

The second was created first, when I made up something to go with the tune because my sister was walking around humming "Frosty the Snowman", so I made up something similar when I got the tune stuck in my head. But the tune's a little bit different.

lol!

I think it's cute. I like how it rhymes. I like the first one better than the second. It has a better feel to it. Do you really have a goldfish named Willie, or is it just your imagination? :D
